I’m not sure about you, but when it comes to cocktails, I’m all about anything with ginger beer. The first time I had a Moscow Mule, it about changed my life. But as much as I love a good Moscow Mule, I’m always eager to switch things up a bit for a different taste. Enter the Gin Gin Mule, created by Audrey Sauders of New York City’s Pegu Club. The Gin-Gin Mule (named after it’s ode to the Moscow Mule as well as it’s use of both gin and ginger) and due to the addition of mint has become my favorite drink of choice.

Ingredients:

10 mint leaves
1/2 ounces of simple syrup
half of a lime squeezed
1-1 1/2 ounces of Bombay Sapphire*
2 ounces of ounces of cold Aqua Monaco Hot Ginger (or any other ginger beer that is not too sweet)

Directions:

In a cocktail shaker, drop in 10 mint leaves. Lightly muddle them with both the simple syrup and lime juice. Add the gin and ice and shake gently until chilled. Strain into a glass with ice, top with the ginger beer, and stir. Add a wedge of lime and a sprig of mint. Drink up!
