While I don’t think that I will ever be able to trade in my dslr for a camera phone, I’m still extremely impressed at the iphone’s camera quality and you can’t beat the ease and portability of a smart phone. And seeing as we live in an age where we are basically have our phones with us at all times, smart phone cameras are pretty handy. After all, the best camera is the one that’s with you.

While I did take a ton of photos with my professional camera during my stay in France, I thought I would share with you a few that I snapped with my iphone while visiting the Château de Chantilly.

  • That’s some truly beautiful iPhone photography! I want to improve my iPhone photo skills, but I think I first need to train my photography eye (or something). You really showcased the opulence of this castle well.

Thank you so much Lulu! So glad you enjoyed these and I honestly think that the iPhone is such a great way to try to train your photography eye because it allows you to only focus on the composition and lighting in the scene you are photographing rather than having to focus on all the other extra things you have to focus on when shooting with a dSLR. I would really suggest starting there first!

  • Whoa, these photos are beautiful! Love your editing and perspective. I can’t believe these were all taken with an iPhone, how inspiring!

  • I totally agree that iPhones can’t replace a DSLR but they also can’t be beaten for convenience, especially when you’re with family and just want to relax. Hope you’re having a great time away! The Chateau looks beautiful. :)
