LFB Update – additions and changes

Hope everyone is enjoying reading through Issue 3 of LFB Blogazine so far! Just wanted to hop on here quickly and fill you guys in on some details as a few things have changed since the last issue:

Frequency:

All of us here at LFB Blogazine are doing our best to bring out innovative and quality content for you guys to enjoy. Because of this, we have made the decision to space out our issues a bit more. You can now expect each issue to come out on the first Monday of each month. But for those of you who are still craving move LFB daily, do not fear! We will still be putting out daily content and have a lot of exciting things in the work for our Daily Dose section including (but not limited to) reviving the Weekly Reads, interviews with our contributors and more local event coverage.

Events Calendar:

If you visited the homepage today, you will have seen that a new section has been added: On the Beat in Berlin. This section will keep you up to date concerning upcoming events taking place in Berlin from anything from art exhibitions, to parties. A more detailed list full of exact times and locations can always be found here.

LFB Meetup:

Speaking of Berlin events, the LFB Berlin team is planning a get together for the summer, because without you guys we would be nothing. To all of our Berlin readers, if you are interested in attending our event and getting to chat with me and the office team, email Belita@lovefromberlin.net

New Facebook:

We have a new home on facebook! Follow us and stay up to date with everything LFB related.

New Instagram:

Ditto on the facebook. I will still be sharing a lot of LFB related content over at @lovefromberlin, but for LFB specific content (including takeovers, event coverage, etc.) be sure to follow us at @lfbblogazine!

  • Is the daily content recaps from the current issue, or new content? I’ve been loving your first three issues! The events and meetup are exciting! -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s

      The daily content recaps titled “Issue X Highlight” are recaps of an article posted in the recent issue – we are doing these highlights as I figure some people don’t want to read everything that gets posted in one day and would like to be reminded of it via an RSS feed, twitter and fb. Although I do know that on the launch day of each issue that LFB is spamming Bloglovin’ and any other rss feeds which unfortunately can’t be avoided :( What are your thoughts about this?

      • Your issues come out on Mondays, and it just so happens that I only have one class on Monday and it’s only for an hour, so for the last two issues, I’ve been reading the majority of the issue (or the whole issue) on the first day. When I see the daily content recaps, I just mark them as read on Bloglovin’ since I’ve already read the articles they’re linked to. It hasn’t been a big deal for me. For the first issue, I think maybe I was busy that week, so I didn’t read all the articles on the first day. I check Bloglovin’ every day and read and reply to blog posts as they come out so that I don’t spend a whole day trying to catch up. For this first issue, the daily content recaps helped me pace myself through the articles that I hadn’t read yet. After reading that article, I’d go back to my Bloglovin’ feed and mark the original post as read. I guess I could better pace myself by marking all the original articles as read and then just read the articles as they pop up from the daily content recaps, but… idk, I don’t do that haha

      Thank you so much I am so happy that you are into the new format. Could you tell me how it has changed your reading and visiting habits to the site? I am super curious to see how you guys have been digesting each issue!

      • I love the new format, especially the variety of posts. After I started reading blogs and blogging myself I stopped reading magazines because I found that the blogs and posts I find were much more interesting. You combined the two in a way that really makes it fun for me to read =o) I know you worked hard on it and it really shows! =o)

      Ah Kathryn I am so happy to hear that! It was a big leap to branch out into something new, but I am so happy with the results personally and even more stoked that you guys are feeling the vibes too! And yes, I think a meet up would be dope!
