Today I would like to share with you guys three awesome choices for facial cleansers that are both cruelty free and vegan. After running out of my favorite facial cleanser and learning that it is only available in Spain, I have had to get crafty and test out a few different cleaners to find some that seem to work for me. Below are the three cleansers that make up the holy trinity of my nighttime face washing routine:

REN Clean Skincare – Rosa Centifolia No.1 Purity Cleansing Balm

(Vegan & Cruelty free, clean) So I haven’t actually talked much about my skin here on LFB, but I have extremely sensitive skin that doesn’t really do well with change or new things. For this reason, I tend to stick to skincare products that I know, and genuinely shudder when thinking about testing out something new for fear of how my skin will react.

Well, let me just say that in this case, I am glad that I bit the bullet and finally tried REN Clean Skincare – Rosa Centifolia No.1 Purity Cleansing Balm, as I have actually found it to be a miracle worker. I have recently begun to try wearing foundation again, which previously has always left my skin broken out in small bumps that I can’t exactly classify as acne, but are still just as unattractive. Still, now that I am cleansing my face each night with this balmy magic, I have yet to see any unsightly bumps return, and my skin is actually looking better. I also love how hydrated my skin feels after using it. I suffer from very dry skin so I definitely still need to moisturize after cleansing, but I like knowing that this balm is not as harsh on my skin as other products.

Before bed, I just simply massage a bit of this balm all over my face with a bit of water, and remove with a damp muslin cloth. I know it might be gross, but there is just something so satisfying literally seeing a day’s worth of foundation end up on a muslin cloth. It’s like I can physically see how well this product works at removing makeup.

Pacifica Natural Skincare – Sea Foam Complete Face Wash

(100% Vegan and Cruelty Free, natural ingredients)

The face wash from Spain that I mentioned above was one that I purchased while in Fuerteventura. I had actually tracked down the brand and contacted the company, they sadly do not ship outside of Spain. Because of this, ever since I have been on the search for a replacement face wash – which is where Pacifica’s Sea Foam Complete Face Wash comes into play.

After cleaning my skin with REN Clean Skincare – Rosa Centifolia No.1 Purity Cleansing Balm, I like to so a second cleanse with Pacifica’s face wash. I just feel like it leaves my skin extra squeaky clean and removes any of the build up from REN Clean Skincare – Rosa Centifolia No.1 Purity Cleansing Balm, as the REN formula is pretty thick. After cleansing with REN Clean Skincare – Rosa Centifolia No.1 Purity Cleansing Balm, I just simply wash my face with a bit of this bad boy and rinse away with warm water. Not only is this cleanser mild and non-irritating, it seriously smells like what holidays at the beach in the Caribbean are made of.

Acure – sensitive facial cleanser

(100% natural, fair trade, cruelty free, vegan and vegetarian)

I like to switch off between cleansing my skin with Pacifica’s Sea Foam Complete Face Wash and Acure – sensitive facial cleanser after removing my makeup with REN Clean Skincare – Rosa Centifolia No.1 Purity Cleansing Balm to just mix things up. The scent of this face wash isn’t really my favorite, but it is non irritating, does the trick, and is cruelty free and vegan – can’t go wrong there!

  • Never heard of this brand before, so thanks for sharing! I love hearing about more cruetly-free/vegan makeup and skincare brands too. I don’t have sensitive skin, but maybe they have something to combat my oily skin?

  • I prefer using all natural products on my skin, too, so I’m always looking for suggestions and out of all the 3, the ZEN cleansing balm seems to be a good fit for me. I, too, get those little bumps due to makeup, but recently, I’ve switched to Mineral Fusion and it has helped me tremendously, I highly recommend! Thanks so much for sharing, girlie, and I hope you have a great weekend!

  • I can get Acure here and should really give the brand another try. So far have tried one moisturizer from them but I wasn’t impressed and have forgotten all about Acure after that. Pacifica is another brand that I want to try!

Sounds like great products. I suck at doing anything extra for my face. Just cetaphil wash and I’m done. I must change that. Thx for this Rae!
