One of my favorite things to do while traveling and visiting new places is to check out local cafes. While in Hamburg, I happened upon Herr Max, an extremely darling cafe on Schulterblatt 12 in Schanzenviertel and picked up these adorable halloween cookies. And, being the insane crazy person that I am, immediately wanted to take them home with me to photograph them. I even went so far as to buy a tupperware container and wrap them delicately so that they didn’t get crushed in my luggage. Well worth the effort, I think!

They are but I ate them anyway! haha!

  • Those look amazing!

I went to see Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children on Halloween. And I received a free -and super appropriately creepy- pen at the bookstore:) Isn’t that sweet?!

How was the film?! I have the book so I want to read it before seeing the movie, although I bet it’s a great film to see in theatres on a big screen. And yes, that is so kind of them! I love sweet little gifts like that!

      • It was amazing! I was surprised at how creepy it was… got very close to horror-territory actually.
I’ve had the book on my shelf for a while too. In the end I decided to watch the movie first. Usually when I read the book right before seeing the movie, it ruins the movie for me (especially when they change things, which I’d already heard was the case here). And this was one I definitely wanted to see on the big screen! Of course it was a dilemma, as reading a book first let’s your own imagination flow more freely. But I enjoyed the movie so much I don’t feel sorry one bit:)

  • Happy belated Halloween! These cookies are beautiful <3 Also, I can totally relate. My friend and I got tie-dye bagels, but we didn't want to hold them up to our phone cameras and be basic, so we decided to wait to take pictures until we arrived at our next destination. Unfortunately our train got SUPER delayed. And still, we waited to eat our bagels even though our stomachs were grumbling, because we couldn't eat it until we got a picture, and we couldn't get a picture in the weird train station lighting :P -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s
