It seems like I just can’t get a break. Over New Years, my boyfriend sent me pictures of the snowfall in Berlin. And now that I am back, my hometown of Chantilly has seen 4 inches of snowfall. But if I do not see snowfall by the end of January, I’m planning a trip to somewhere colder for a long weekend. Because it hasn’t actually been a successfully cozy winter until I’ve woken up on a wintry Saturday morning, made a cuppa, lit my yankee candle, and curled up on the sofa, blanket pulled up around my shoulders with a good book in hand or a lazy weekend film on the telly. Until then, it looks like I will be living vicariously through my instagram feed.

Is Berlin usually not that white in winter? I know it can get fairly cold, but does it not snow or is it just because it’s a city that it all kind of turns to slush?
