In the Home is all about interior design and making your cozy space your own.

Oh hai there. My name is Rae and I am addicted to homeware. Of course on my budget, I mostly just end up spending most of my time scrolling endlessly through pictures of beautiful interiors, drool dripping down the side of my mouth. Just kidding about the drool part – except not. Except yes. Just as with clothing, I have gone through basically every interior phase imaginable, but somehow, you kind of always return to the things you once loved. Just as styles become trends 10 years later and are recycled, I feel like much of our own personal influences when it comes to our own outward self expression (be it in dress or decor) sort of get mashed together and turned into an adult version of all of those teenage phases and new “sophisticated” interests in our late twenties.

Thus, my love for kitsch and thrift shops as a teenager but love for industrial simplicity and clean scandinavian and danish design have kind of started some polygamous relationship, which has found me loving some hybrid mix of clean bohemian interiors with dashes of industrial and modern design. So when Urban Outfitters recently began selling a shit ton of amazing interior items, I did what every normal 20 something female would do – I lusted after, right-clicked, saved and thought – let’s blog this for posterity. If only the homeware offered on Urban Outfitter’s European site was the same. Then again, maybe it’s better this way. Otherwise, I would be living in the most beautiful flat in Berlin, but unable to pay my rent.
