While home this past winter in DC, my friend Jon and I took a trip into Georgetown to walk around the city and grab lunch at Chaia, an taco restaurant founded by Suzanne Simon and Bettina Stern.

I really fell in love with Chaia because their restaurant goes beyond simply serving up delicious food in a beautiful setting. They make it a point to keep things local by sourcing all of their micro-greens locally from Little Wild Things City Farm, cook with vegetables that are in season, offer a plant-focused menu, and hand make their tortillas. So next time you find yourself in DC, make sure to pop by Gerogetown and make a pit-stop at Chaia. Your conscience and stomach won’t regret it!
