Visual Stimulation features the best of all things visual, creative and inspirational.

I came across these amazing ceramic mugs created be the amazing Katie Marks of Silver Lining Ceramics Here is Katie’s Bio:

I live and work in Seattle. Clay is a life long passion for me and I am so fortunate to be able to do what I love for work. I have been working with ceramics since 2008 and hope I can keep this momentum going the rest of my life.

I have been creating things since before I can remember starting with play-doh moving to polymer and now finally with ceramic.I took 3 ceramics classes at my local community college in 2008 but it wasnt until after I acquired my first wheel in 2010 that I attended the University of Youtube where I taught myself to throw by watching a million throwing videos ( watch a video try it out…watch another one, try again…etc..). In January of 2012 I was fortunate enough to start working with my Mentor. I have learned so much in the two years. I love the education I am getting and can’t wait to see where this leads me…1

Below are a collection of some of my favorites. Would really love to add one of these to my current coffee mug collection (which tends to keep dwindling as I accidentally drop one from time to time… View more of Katie’s past creations

  • These are all so beautiful! I love the different colours and textures – I think that the last one with the gold handle is my favourite.

I’m really tempted to DIY that first one though – although I doubt it would be as beautiful as hers.
