interior adventures is a series all about my adventures (& misadventures) in re-doing and re-decorating my flat.
A few weeks before I travelled to Italy, I made a stop over at Ikea. And of course, in true Ikea fashion, I went in with literally 1 thing in mind – a clothes rack – and left with heaps more. Whilst there, I found a few new plant friends, an amazing little table-tray (is that even a word?), as well as some new tea towels, a drying rack for dishes, a new fitted sheet (ughhhh so soft), new salt and pepper shakers (my duo one with the squeezy handle snapped because apparently I am the Hulk), a new shower curtain (because mine always turns green/blue at the bottom from my hair), a foot stool for under my desk (because my feet always dangle due to my height – or lack thereof) and a few other things I have since erased from memory in an attempt to assuage my guilt forgotten. Still working on those witchy and boho details as well as trying to come up with some wall decorations – more specifically for the wall above my bed (as you can see in the last photo, it just looks a bit too bare above the bed) – and a platform for my mattress, but all in all I am really satisfied with way things are coming together so far.
