Oatmeal is hands down one of my favorite things to eat for breakfast at any season. It’s hearty, warms the soul, and keeps you feeling full. But oatmeal’s use extends beyond mealtime. Made up of anti-inflammatory properties, oatmeal is suited for all skin types, including those with very sensitive skin. It also works as a great exfoliant, helping to remove dead skin cells and aids in treating different skin conditions, like eczema, rosacea, and acne. Here are three of my favorite natural DIYs that you can whip up at home tonight.

  • I love having oatmeal for breakfast, too! I’ve heard about it’s anti-inflammatory properties, but have never actually tried a scrub/skin product with oatmeal. This one looks so soothing.

  • A month ago I started having oatmeal everyday for lunch in order to balance out not being active enough (hazards of a desk job), and I mix in some fruit for variety. Totally trying all of this!!

Oooh that is a really good idea. I find that oatmeal is a really great regulator since it is healthy and also filling. Let me know how these work out for you, Alice!

  • I’m always scared of using oatmeal as a scrub because my drain is slow enough as is (I find that even coffee scrubs tend to slow my water drain). BUT, that soap recipe is amazing! I would love to make that even as a gift. Thanks for sharing!
