As a photographer, I am always looking for work from other photographers that inspire me and make me want to push myself even farther. Below are a few of my favorite portraits that I have saved recently. Completely smitten with the faded pastel colors and lavender tone to these photos. Although these images come from various photographers, they all evoke a similar mood that I would love to be able to capture myself in my own work.

Nooo! Haven’t heard of them before! Just took a peek – some of them are really lush!

  • Oh wow, these are really beautiful. I haven’t really tired much portrait photography before, but I’ve started to think about it more recently so this post is super inspiring! <3

You definitely should give it a go, Rosario!

  • I LOVE the photos that play with lights and shadows. Although that first picture doesn’t do that as much, I still really like it because I think I have a soft spot in my heart for anything related to the pool because I used to be a competitive swimmer. That photo looks so candid! It reminds me of that one time I visited the school pool over some break and it was totally drained because they were fixing some tiling, so my friends and I hung around the empty pool and took some iPhone photos to document the pool (not a creative photoshoot or anything; just to document it) as we’ve never seen it (we always see it filled with water, soon to be jumped and trained in by us) -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s

Me too – to me, light is everything when it comes to photography. I never did any competitive swimming, but I also find something really magical about photos at pools, especially empty ones. They have that same kind of vibe I feel that shots taken at skateparks do.

  • these are really inspiring photographs! same, I like to check out photos from professional photographers to inspire me most.

  • I always find that public places on their own express a lot of authentic vibes and lively moods, it’s as if people that cross these places also leave a bit of their energy at that place, hope it doesn’t sound too weird haha. So when I look at some of your pictures you drive inspiration from, I can see why one is automatically drawn to that mix of retro autenticity, especially with that purple-ish shadow. However, I find it hard to capture that particular mood when places are crowded and people always wonder as if they have never seen a camera ;D
