After all my posts on Puerto Rico it’s time to return to LFBs regular posting schedule! (There are a few notable places I have yet to tell you guys about, but I am saving them for LFB’s travel/Berlin-themed days, which appear here every Wednesday)

Ans so, I am back with another visually inspiring post this Saturday. And this time, I have switched gears entirely. As I am currently away in Austria on a ski trip with a bunch of friends (read: My friends are skiing, and I am probably falling on my arse right now, and wowing my instructor with how absolutely terrible I am at sports), what better than a wintry post full of stunning photos from the top destination on my list of places to travel: Iceland!

Oh god, these photos are stunning. I never quite understood what it was about landscape photography that spoke to me before but this compilation seems to have answered the question for me; the use of negative space in brilliant landscape photographs is breathtaking!

asdfghjkl okay it’s official, Iceland is on my travel bucket list. I feel like so many of my friends have been to Iceland recently or are planning to go soon! Ahh, visiting Blue Lagoon spa has always been at the top of my bucket list! Seeing the Icelandic landscape would be a dream too, I think I’m fascinated by it because it’s just so different to what we have in Australia.

Iceland is seriously incredible, I really hope you make it there one day soon! Next time you visit the US if that’s more likely to happen before just going to Iceland you could try looking into flying with Iceland Air because they offer stopovers in Iceland for up to a week for hardly anything/possibly free when you’re flying between the US and Europe. I’m not sure exactly because I booked those flights within a round the world ticket when I went but it’s definitely something to look into! xx

  Oh wow I had no idea – that is such a great tip. Funny story, my ex flew with Iceland Air from the US to Germany and said it was the WORST experience of his life – no food, a freezing plane, and the ladies next to him spilt hot coffee all over them and did not apologise nor did any of the flight attendants come to help (apparently they were conspicuously absent for the majority of the flight).
  
  So you have been to Iceland before I take it?! I want to hear all about it!

    Aww that sucks that happened to you ex! (Unless he sucks, in which case whatever, haha.) My experience with IcelandAir was fine though, if anything I liked it over some other airline services cause they put little facts about iceland on everything (the backs of the seats and disposable cups, etc)
    
    But yeah I went for a week in 2014 and it was absolutely incredible! Here are the links to the blog posts I wrote about it in case you want to have a read. :) I’d definitely recommend staying at the Reykjavik Bus Hostel if you’re looking for something cost effective because it can be pretty expensive over there. It’s about a 10min walk out of town but it’s got a really cute common area and everyone I met there was super lovely. :)

  I know I feel the same! Although,I am currently in Austria for a ski trip, and I am so happy I get to see such amazing mountains. There is something to be said for Iceland, as I think the landscape is really unique, but Austria is also a beautiful place to visit if you are looking for stunning mountains and that outdoor winter adventure kind of feel.
