In Life

001: Filled the void leaving Puerto Rico has left in my life by indulging in Tacos with friends all over the place, starting with Chaia in Georgetown, DC. and ending with bartaco in Reston.
002: Currently en route back to Europe, ready to hit the ground running, starting with hosting a Superbowl Sunday party at my house – which is either a genius idea or the worst idea I have ever had. Sleep? What’s that?

On the web

003: Computer shortcuts everyone needs to know.
004: Been listening to the Cambridge Union’s conferences recently while working. Loved their conversation with Russell Brand.
005: Thrillist clothed Playboy’s most iconic centerfolds …which subsequently reminds me of the time a guy pm-ed me an unsolicited dick pic on instagram… which resulted in me photoshopping it intentionally poorly, mailing my new and improved “g-rated” version back, and telling him to never contact me again.

That left handed video made me LOL. Writing is the absolute worst, I always end up with smudges and I’ve had to adopt a special way of writing which looks pretty bizarre. I remember being at school and having to face the opposite way to everyone in my class to throw a javelin! But some things help, like my left handed scissors and left handed chequebook! Haha. That cocktail looks amazing too! And your Super Bowl party sounds awesome!

Yup basically. Whenever I write, people look at my hand and ask me how it doesn’t hurt when I write, but to be honest, after about 5 minutes of writing my hand always does cramp up, so maybe it is a lefty thing. And I can totally sympathise with you on the smudges as well! Funny story – my dad actually taught me to cut with my right hand when I was a little girl, so I cut with my right but do everything else with my left. Makes it easier when scissor shopping – not that I go scissor shopping all that often though haha.

  • Thanks for the Thai cocktail recipe! And a Super Bowl Sunday party at your house sounds great! I hope you’ll have a great time and it turns out to be a genius idea ;-)

  • Interesting article on the Chipotle conspiracy! I see why people would think that; Monsanto is not above this kind of tactics, but I don’t think the success of Chipotle threatens the biochemical company enough for this claim to have any shred of reality. I’d think they would go after Wholefoods first! I wouldn’t mind if someone corporate espionages Monsanto and they burn to the ground though ;P

    • rae

Isn’t it? To be honest, I would really not put it past Monsanto, but you def. have a point there! Although, maybe Wholefoods is too powerful to attack?! Who knows, but what I do know is that I love a good conspiracy theory. I mean right now, I am watching “Weird Or What – Mysterious Vanishings” on youtue, so … HAHAHA.
