I always find that when I return from a trip that I have taken with family or friends, I always have a lot less photos to show for it. Although I tend to have my camera strapped to me at all times when traveling, I hate to slow anyone else down, so I end up taking hastily shot photos or none at all when I’m not alone. I definitely took a lot more photos during my solo day trip to the Château de Chantilly than I did the 3 days we were in Paris, but I did manage to capture a few street scenes and the view from our hotel bedroom. (Sidenote: I’ve also approached my post-processing with a bit more of an analog feel to it and am pretty happy with the results.)
Paris is one of the rare cities where I feel as if the outdoor seating at cafes oftentimes set up in such a way as to optimize for people watching rather than conversation. It’s something special to Paris that I noticed during my first trip to Paris a few years ago.
