November seemed to go by at a steady pace, but for some reason this year, December seems to be flying by. I can’t believe that we are already halfway through the month. Being the insane Christmas fanatic that I am, I usually try to savor every last bit of Christmas starting promptly on the 1st. However, although I am definitely getting extremely excited about the “Friendsmaskah” that we will be celebrating this year (yes, I will indeed be the lone Jewish girl bringing vegan Latkas to this celebration), it just doesn’t feel like Christmas this year yet. Perhaps it has to do with the fact that without snow, that Christmasy feel is just not complete. I am sincerely hoping that temperatures will drop enough to turn the rain into snow, but until then I will be dreaming of snowy cottages and playing Kenny G’s Christmas albums to get me in the Christmas spirit.
