When I was in elementary school, I was part of Girl Scouts. Not even sure if that is a thing anymore for “kids these days,” but it was when I was young. Now, I sold cookies like a boss – read: my mom brought the order form to school with her where she worked, and we racked up the orders – but the real reason I was in girl scouts was for the camping trips. It had been a quite since I braved the outdoors, simply because I was lacking most of the equipment and don’t own a car, but I did manage to go camping last summer with my then-boyfriend and have been missing the great outdoors ever since. There is just something I love about waking up curled up in my sleeping bag in the crisp dry air with dew all over the grass outside from the condensation that I assume must collect over night.
I love car camping, and dream of doing some intense backpacking camping as well (if I can somehow get over the whole turning your underwear inside out thing…) but I also dream about holing it up amongst nature in a giant treehouse for adults. Lusting after all of these images from Glamping Hub and hope to be making my dream of living in a treehouse (if only for a few days) a reality sometime soon.
