So the good news is my job is going really well. The bad news is that it means I basically come home and melt into the sofa, which partially explains my absence (but more on all of this in another post). I am, however, trying to get my groove back like Stella. Which has resulted in complete visual overhaul of LFB as well as a new series – a weekly roundup, where I let you know just what kind of awesome shit has caught my eye this week.

Disqus kept sending me error messages so I’m not sure if you got my comment…so I’ll summarise briefly! Glad to hear your job is going well, and we should definitely go for coffee and trade post-work melting into sofa stories, I’m in a similar position myself. Add me on Facebook, it’s Betti Baudelaire :)

Ah, I can totally relate to not having enough time/energy to blog lately! Glad to hear you’re doing well! Have you watched The Killing yet? I saw the first season last year and was hooked, but I didn’t get very far into the second season. Curious to know what you think!

    • rae

Thanks Ellie! Yes my boyfriend and I have already completed the first season! We are on the second – probably episode 3 or 4 – but still just as into it. I am not sure how long they can go with one crime storyline and still keep it interesting – which is maybe why you sort of fell out of it in the second season? I feel a bit the same about walking dead – you can only kill zombies for so long – then the show has to have a strong story line concerning the actual characters and their inter-personal relations. Although we are also still hooked on walking dead – it took a bit to get back into it though!

I think you’re right – t’s hard for me to pinpoint exactly why some shows hold my interest more than others over multiple seasons, but strong plot/character development is definitely a huge part of it. I do want to give The Killing another chance though – I might get back into it after a little break!

def. give it another shot and let me know what you think!
