In Life

Girl, put your records on.

001: Absolutely OBSESSED with my record player. Pretty sure it’s become my favorite way to listen to music. The process of listening to a record just feels different than listening to an album on your iphone. I think it has to do with the physical act of having to place the needle on the record in order to hear the music and having to turn the record over once one side finishes in order to keep listening – something about this act just keeps my attention in an entirely different way.

002: Back in Leipzig enjoying the summer and all that this incredible city has to offer.

On the web

001-002: When will we start looking at rape for what it really is and rapists for who they really are? And when will we stop asking victims irrelevant questions that are only meant to shame them?

003: On a more satirical note, The Onion handles this topic marvelously.

004: Loving Hello Glow‘s healthy picnic recipies! Dying to try out the Beet Hummus Wrap! (Just leave off the feta to make it vegan.)

005: Can’t wait to parent one day.

006: Definitely planning on making Nutrition Stripped’s these amazing fruit-filled spring rolls this summer.

007: With this crazy summer heat, I could definitely could use one of Half Baked Harvest‘s simple fruit popsicles right now.

  • more and more of my friends are into record players these days. they’re so retro you can’t help but like the feeling you get when listening to music out of it.

  • I don’t have a record player, but I want to get one once I move somewhere permanently! It might be awhile tho :o -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s

  • I always feel super inspired after reading your round ups! I’ve been trying to eat more healthy and be ‘sugar free’ so those healthy picnic recipes seem amazing!

Ugh, I could use on of those popsicles too. Not a fan of 96 degrees F. I have also been using the hell out our record player lately. It seems a glass of mint iced tea and vinyl is the only way to survive a boiling Sunday afternoon.
