Editing photos after a holiday always makes me feel like Sisyphos. Except instead of rolling a giant rock up a mountain, only to roll it up again, I edit one photo, only to stare at the next one. And the next one. And… well you get the idea. Coupled with the fact that I am still recovering from tonsillitis (I swear, I’m always sick), it took me a little bit longer than expected, meaning I’ve been ghosting around LFB for longer than I anticipated. Sorry! But here we are, and here they are – They being photos taken in El Cotillo and Lajares, two towns 20 minutes southwest of where I was staying.

El Cotillo is one of the best places on the island for surfing, and Lajares is a small town full of small shops owned by ex-pats and locals alike which you have to pass through in order to make it to El Cotillo. My favorite thing about both of these towns (minus the surf, of course) has got to be how goddamned photogenic they are. You seriously cannot take a bad photo in either town. But hey, don’t take my word for it, just take a look below…

  • what gorgeous little towns, it’s always refreshing when you find yourself somewhere outside of major cities, not just because you can discover really beautiful things but also because there are way less people to get in the way of photos! haha.
