In Life

001: Finally trying to make good on my word and start working out again with the help of some friendly motivation by way of the buddy system. Working out with a friend definitely makes hitting the gym more likely!
002: Stayed in this weekend, catching up on a lot of work. Sometimes it just has to be that way!

003: The little kid in my wants to live in this tree house forever. Move over, airbnb, it’s all about tree houses now.
004: Check out this fantastic article about our response in the wake of the terrorist attacks in Paris this past Friday. This particular article focuses on Australia’s grief in the wake of the bombings, but the underlying message in this article applies to us all.
005: So in love with this interior.
006: Check out the power of the lens in this video. Although this video is extremely entertaining, it serves as a reminder to all photographers just how much power lies in their hands and the fact that we need to be responsible as image makers in how we choose to portray those we photograph.

  • I really enjoyed that video you shared! Even though I haven’t done portrait photography before, it’s something good to keep in mind no matter what I’m taking photos of. I’m trying to be really good about working out too, though it’s a little difficult when I don’t have someone to go with because I like going ridiculously early in the morning, haha.

I also received the email for the conscious living challenge this morning – it’s a challenge I’m looking forward to!

Good luck getting back into it at the gym, one of my favourite ways to motivate myself to workout is to get some killer music or buy myself new workout gear as an incentive!

  • I watched the “6 photographers 1 person” video earlier this week! This is why I love traveling with my photography friends. We all experience the same thing but in different ways and perceive them differently, and you can tell through their photos. It’s always so much fun sharing our photos at the end of our trips :) And this is also why I also get excited when blogger friends I follow meet up, and I get to experience it with them in different ways through their blogs. *third wheeling* -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s

  • I love all the series you have going on your blog, it makes it really easy to know what to expect – it’s a routine, but with plenty of interest and new things all the time!

I really liked that photography video, it was so interesting to watch. I wish they had put titles under the pictures though, so it was more clear which “version” of the photo they’d taken.
