Sean Sullivan’s photography is absolutely captivating. The first thing that really caught my interest was his incredible eye for lines and light. The second, the content itself, as he has such a wide range.
Many of his images are straight up editorial, many having a Juergen Teller vibe to them. His more personal images however, whether of people or of objects, have this incredible haunting vibe. It’s like old washed-up hollywood of yesteryears meets a modern over-sexualized hedonistic and self destructive LA. (Which is the exact same vibe I get from Lana Del Rey’s Video Games, and why despite all the controversy surrounding the singer and her music, I was so captivated by that song and interested in the overall persona the singer has created for herself.)
Unfortunately, I do not know much more about Sullivan, which kind of fits, as the images remain beautifully haunting all on their own. But you can follow him on instagram and check out his tumblr account here.
